As a Jamaican I can attest to the fact that we love to celebrate our heritage, but also we just love to party. Some of our celebrations are geared toward encouraging visitors to our shores to come and have some fun and get to know us.
We host massive music concerts to regional food festivals, so get started and reserve your travel arrangements.
You'll need to book your hotel, so why not reserve your stay at one of the Top Romantic Destination: Jamaica
Here are the necessary documentation and travel information that you'll need to enter the island.
Celebrity Junction - Third World Band
Performing on January 24th at Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festivals.
Jamaica's own...Third World Band has been making reggae music for some time, since 1973, and these guys have been friends and musical partners for quite some time.
They have sold-out tours and is celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year with concerts planned in Jamaica, for the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Start enjoying today the music of Third World Band and buy their latest album Patriots.
This very popular album features the collaborations with Toots Hibbert, Marcia Griffiths, the late Gregory Isaacs, Sly Dumbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Dean Fraser, Inner Circle, Mykal Rose, Junior Reid, Capleton, Stephen & Damian Marley, Tarrus Riley and Tessanne Chin. The album also features tracks such as like Front Door (featuring the late, great Gregory Isaacs), You Made Me So Very Happy (a cover of Alton Ellis' timeless hit featuring Marcia Griffiths), By My Side (featuring Tessanne Chin), Good Hearted People (feat. Capleton), and 96 Degrees In the Shade (a remake of the band's classic featuring Stephen and Damian Marley).
I am still celebrating the start of 2013, a new year that offers a fresh start. Let's celebrate with my favorite drink - Jamaica's own Rum Punch.
Note: Use one cup rum to roughly two to three glasses of fruit juice.
Mix 1 cup lime juice, 2 cups strawberry flavored syrup or sugar, 3 cups Jamaican rum, 4 cups water or fruit juice and lots of ice.
Serve with a slice of lemon or lime on the side of your glass and remember to drink responsibly.
