Restaurant week in Jamaica starts November 8th through to the 16th, and spans three cities, Kingston, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

Then the last Sunday in November, for this year that date is November 24th, Jerk-masters from all over the island descent on Negril to show off their cooking talent.

Restaurant Week In Jamaica

Jamaican Foods are varied, shows our cultural influences, spicy and succulent.

When you go to Jamaica sample some of our fish. It is delectable. Sample our red snapper, grouper and yellowtail. The restaurants here have the freshest of fish since the day's catch is delivered fresh every morning. And at some restaurants you can select your own fish and then tell the chef how you would like it prepared.

These fish are caught fresh daily and when broiled with hot lime sauce will it your most memorable meal.

Expect innovative food from Jamaica's celebrated chefs that brings their gourmet "nouvelle Jamaican" fare for you to taste and enjoy.

Celebrity Junction - Jamaica's Beef Patties

Jamaica's beef patties or meat pies are crunchy, flavorful and tasty. It is a staple snack.

There are a variety of fillings for the patties. The pastry is filled with either chicken, tofu, shrimp or vegetables, but my favorite is the spicy beef patty.

You can eat the Jamaican Beef Patty sandwiched in your choice of bread or coco-bread. Today, beef patties are sold all over the US!

Food Specialties of Jamaica

This is our breadfruit which you'll see along the roadside roasting, or you may sample it at your resort fried or even boiled. Do taste it with ackee, fish, salt-fish, jerk chicken or whatever it might be served with. It will not disappoint.

Here is a sample of some of the Jamaica foods for you to try along with their recipes.
